BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1956, Patrick Desgraupes is a French landscape photographer working in edition and publicity. He has worked for years with medium size cameras, then his perfectionist approach led him to use a large format camera (4 x 5 inches). He always proceeds by researching locations, then he comes back again and again, until the light becomes what he was expecting.

BIOGRAPHIE

Né en 1956, Patrick Desgraupes est un photographe paysagiste Français évoluant dans le monde de l’édition et de la publicité. Apres avoir travaillé pendant des années en moyen format, il est passé au grand format (4 x 5 inches) afin de pouvoir aller plus loin dans sa démarche artistique.

Son approche est toujours la même : après les premiers repérages, il revient inlassablement sur le lieu choisi jusqu’à avoir la lumière qu’il attendait.

« Il faut accepter l’idée de ne pas faire la moindre photo pendant plusieurs jour (parfois bien plus…) et d’en shooter 2 ou 3 lors d’une journée miraculeuse… »
